About Me

Hello, I am Michelle Christina Messenger. I am a dedicated and high-achieving Art Education Student /Art Educator /Creator /Writer. I’ve maintained a good GPA and invested years into my educational path. My life achievement is to become an artists who teaches, who explores, who creates and who uplifts future generations through expression and critical thought. I believe in fairness, advocacy, and using my words, my writings and my voice to stand up for what's right. Outside of academics, I love exploring my own creativity for digital art, storytelling, and all other mediums to combine with mix media.

I like to create my own art and characters. I've been working on my stories and characters that I have created over the years. I plan to release and publish books about them in the near future. Art has always been an adventure. It was back in 2009 when I first figured out that I wanted to draw better. Learning and teaching myself how to draw lightly before drawing heavy. I have been pushing myself to learn color schemes and which colors to choose for certain art pieces. Also I have been learning the meaning of depth, and the difference between 2d and 3d art.

Drawing/Painting/Charcoal/Digital Art has given me a great deal of relief and happiness throughout my life. I enjoy having the fiery spirit to create what is mine and posting it wherever I can while improving my skills along the way. I've been using Pencil, Charcoal, Graphite, Watercolors, Oil paint, Paper, Mouse, Microsoft Paint, Gimp, Adobe Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve and Notepad for years now and hopefully soon I'll be able to use the 3D Sculptor Blender. Everyday I'm learning something new with these programs and getting better with my workflow.I am continuing to improve my stories to achieve the success I want.

My Fight to Graduate

Despite my academic record, I have faced unfair barriers at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Faculty members have withheld my Field Placement based on subjective claims and retaliation after I emailed and stated my right to decline unreasonable demands. These ongoing issues have impacted my degree progress and financial aid eligibility. Below is the documents of my situation:

I have 3 videos of the situation, but will not release them yet. I am wanting to graduate and complete my degree in Art Education, but the degree that I have paid for has been change into something that I have not agreed to. I have also taken way to many unnessary classes that the Ms. Emily Hood (Advisor) has pressured me to take.

    Even though I am excelling academically, I have faced the following:
  • Field placement denied based on vague claims of “unprofessionalism” and “lack of enthusiasm.”
  • Retaliation after I respectfully said “no” to redoing an optional assignment at the end of Fall 2024.
  • Faculty and administrators holding private meetings and creating false narratives without evidence.
  • A forced “Concerns Conference” and demands to submit weekly “professional letters” all summer or be barred from graduation.
  • Claims that I was not professional in my field placement; despite receiving compliments from my cooperating teacher.
  • Video recordings and documents I’ve saved show the truth, contradicting their version of events.
  • I’ve also received a Satisfactory Academic Progress Maximum Hour Warning due to these delays, meaning the school’s obstruction is now threatening my financial aid.

Second Complaint {My Fight to Graduate}

This isn't an isolated issue. In another course (Global Contemporary Art), the instructor allowed some students to take the final exam online with open book access, while others (including me) had to show up in person without the same flexibility. When I asked for clarification, I received vague responses. Only 6 students showed up in person; leading me to believe the in-person testing was not equally enforced.

I’ve followed every internal procedure, filed complaints, sent emails, and asked for help. No one has stepped up to protect my rights. I’m not writing this because I failed. I’m writing this because they are trying to make me fail; even though I did everything right. I believe in art. I believe in education. And I believe in standing up when you are being mistreated. If you’ve made it this far; thank you for listening.
